Several states other than Delhi, including Chennai, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, and Telangana, have also been forecast by IMD to experience mild rainfall.
An orange alert asks authorities concerned to be prepared to respond to any emergency situation arising out of weather change while the yellow alert signifies that the weather could change, and hence people should be vigilant
IMD has predicted rainfall over several southern states until October 23. Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal are expected to receive heavy rainfall until October 25.
