KL Technology Incubators Foundation hosts Startup Carnival to enable a platform of networking and growth between Startups & successful entrepreneurs

New Delhi [India], August 10 (ANI/SRV): KL Technology Incubators Foundation (KLTIF-TBI) at KL Deemed to be University has hosted Startup Carnival, a grand scale event that celebrates and encourages the spirit of entrepreneurship among Startups. KLTIF-TBI has been established with support from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. With the vision of empowering youth through entrepreneurship, KLTIF-TBI has incubated over 50 startups across the nation, generating employment in the hundreds. The Carnival witnessed the influential presence of eminent entrepreneurs, student innovators, venture capitalists, investors, mentors, leaders, influencers, enablers and other stakeholders across the country to empower the excellence of the youth. The incubation center envisioned a platform to create and nurture an entrepreneurial ecosystem with the best-in-class resources and tech equipment, and the Startup Carnival is the manifestation in the same direction. With nationally acclaimed mentors to guide the innovators of tomorrow, the event witnessed several startups developed to address societal problems in the fields of agriculture, Pharmacy, HealthTech, Biotech, FoodTech, and other emerging areas. The Chief Guest at the event was Dr Ramanathan Ramanan, the first Mission Director of the Atal innovation mission - a flagship national Innovation initiative of the Prime Minister, and the Government of India under the NITI Aayog. Dr Ramanan, who has been instrumental in the launch and execution of several nationwide innovations has assessed the startups of tomorrow and addressed the gathering in a moving speech on entrepreneurship and belief in self. Commenting on the successful Startup Carnival event, Er Koneru Satyanaraya, Chancellor, KL Deemed-to-be University said "Entrepreneurship in the Indian and global education ecosystems is finally receiving the paramount importance that is long overdue. With India currently hosting over 100 unicorns, and numerous others germinating amongst our youth, it is within the responsibility of educational institutes to identify, nurture and back revolutionary ideas.  Acclaimed socio-technologist Chintan Vaishnav has been appointed as the new Mission Director for Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), a flagship initiative of the Government of India under the auspices of NITI Aayog. He takes over charge from Ramanathan Ramanan, who has been leading AIM as its first Mission Director since June 2017. 
Vaishnav is moving from his present assignment at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, to head AIM.  
Ramanan, wno was with Tata Consultancy Services has made outstanding contributions in laying strong, scalable foundations for AIM. He has also built a robust team of talented young professionals to carry forward AIM’s mission, NITI Aayog stated in a release.

For his "outstanding contributions in laying strong, scalable foundations for AIM", NITI Aayog thanked Ramanathan Ramanan, AIM's first Mission Director, from whom Vaishnav is taking over the charge.
According to a press statement by NITI Aayog, Chintan Vaishnav an acclaimed socio-technologist who was working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will take the mantles of AIM from mid-April 2021.
"Acclaimed socio-technologist Dr Chintan Vaishnav has been appointed as the new Mission Director for Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), a flagship initiative of the Government of India under the auspices of NITI Aayog. He is taking over the charge from Mr Ramanathan Ramanan, seconded by Tata Consultancy Services to NITI Aayog, who had been leading AIM as its first Mission Director since June 2017. "In an exciting online event today, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced that ISRO will be adopting 100 Atal Tinkering Labs across the country to promote education in the field of STEM, Space education and space technology related Innovations for school students," read a press statement from the NITI Aayog.

“Comparing Aarogya Setu with other apps of its kind, he remarked that it is among the top three contact tracing apps globally, taking into account its effectiveness to trace, test and isolate, and that India could take a leadership role through the app and inform other countries on how to carry out contact tracing.”
The coronavirus pandemic has prevailed globally for close to a year, with India living in the throes of the crisis since March. To trace, isolate and treat cases of infection, the Aarogya Setu app was developed, and launched on April 2, 2020, by the National Informatics Centre at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
