Randolph Senior Adults Association supplies for family caregivers

ASHEBORO More than 65 million people in the United States are considered family caregivers, according to a press release from the Randolph Senior Adults Association. Being a family caregiver is a hard job, but during a pandemic it is especially difficult. Without support, many family caregivers experience burnout and declining health, particularly during this stressful time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With funds from The Administration for Community Living (ACL), Randolph Senior Adults Association is making available CARE bags and incontinence supplies to eligible family caregivers through the Family Caregiver Support Program CARES Act.
The family caregiver CARE bags are full of items to help caregivers care for their loved one during this time of COVID-19 and beyond. Included in each CARE bag is: a digital forehead thermometer, a blood pressure monitor, a pulse oximeter (to check oxygen level), a box of 50 disposable masks, hand sanitizer, a box of 100 disposable gloves ....
