Minor girl among three people suffer gunshot wounds July 26, 2021 Three people, including a minor girl, were wounded in separate incidents of firing in the city on Sunday, according to police officials. A man was shot and injured in a firing incident near Gora Qabristan in the Saddar area. The injured person was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). He was identified as 39-year-old Shakir Arshad. Police said that the incident took place over resisting a mugging bid. In another incident, 25-year-old Omar, son of Haji Ghulam, was wounded after unidentified suspects shot him over reasons yet to be ascertained. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. ....
Woman dies after ‘taking toxic substance’ July 26, 2021 karachi: A young woman died at her house located in the Quaidabad area on Sunday. Her body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination. Police said that she was identified as 26-year-old Rasheeda Sakhi Muhammad. They said that the woman had died after consuming some toxic substance. According to the family of the woman, she had committed suicide. Police said that the family of the woman had not told them about the reason behind her alleged suicide, adding that officials are investigating the case from different angles. ....
