Heathlands House Care Home in Cambridge is opening its doors to the community next week (Friday, June 20) for its very own folk festival.

AN author who published his debut book in memory of his late son has been wowing care home residents with a virtual read-along. Paul Joynson, 74, of Poplar Close, Halstead, published his book The Mingoes and their Amazing Adventures in September. The book is a collection of funny poems and illustrations which Paul was inspired to write for granddaughter Amelia. She was aged four at the time and only wanted to have Mr Men books read to her, so Paul set himself the challenge of writing something as exciting as the popular series and began work on a collection of poems called The Mingoes...
