Record Warmth in Rochester For May Day Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Southeastern Minnesota was visited by record-setting heat on Saturday. The National Weather Service reported the high temperature hit 91 degrees at the Rochester Airport in the afternoon, which beat the previous record for May 1st set in 1992 when the mercury peaked at 89 degrees. It was the first 90-degree reading of the year and was the warmest it has been in Rochester since August 26th when the afternoon high was also 91 degrees.
