Galesburg woman facing DUI charges, Elmwood teen seriously injured in crash
Illinois State Police say that a two-vehicle crash on the 4th of July resulted in a Galesburg woman facing charges and a 14-year-old girl from Elmwood suffering serious injuries. The Galesburg woman was 29-year-old Brittney Thomas. She was driving a Chrysler van north on Illinois 97 near U.S. 150 in Knox County. A 2021 Honda SUV being driven by a 36-year-old female from Elmwood, and her 14-year-old passenger, was traveling south at the same location.
