Warren Co., Ill- One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday, May 29th in Warren County. According to Illinois State Police, on Sunday at about 8:38 AM, a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Eric Hanson of Galesburg was traveling northbound on 140th Street just south of 160th Avenue in Warren County at a high rate of speed. Hanson's vehicle struck a horse that was in the roadway at the time. The horse died at the scene, while Hanson was transported to an area hospital with injuries. Hanson was later cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

Galesburg Police on Sunday, May 8th, responded to the 200 block of Silver Street for a single-vehicle accident where the driver struck a pole and was trying to leave. The incident occurred around 8:20 am. A female who witnessed the female driver trying to depart told her to stay put because the police were coming, according to police reports. Police made contact with the driver: 19-year-old Victoria Bush of Knoxville. Bush had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.
