Community to library network: Take the tax increase

Accepting a tax increase and future impacts of not doing so were major concerns voiced by community members Thursday evening during the Community Library Network’s budget hearing at the Post Falls Library.
Nearly all of the 16 people who spoke during the hearing expressed they are in favor of the board taking a 3% tax increase as allowed by law, which would provide the network with nearly $150,000. Many also shared their desire to keep the Post Falls and Hayden libraries open Sundays.

MEYER AND McCREA: Community still needs them

Judy Meyer and Regina McCrea ran with integrity and lost with grace. I want to thank both of you for your service and tireless work with the county libraries. What you accomplished, especially in the last few years for the patrons and especially the children hopefully will never go unnoticed.

MEYER AND McCREA: Gratitude for service; respect for integrity

I attended the Community Library Network board meeting where Judy Meyer and Regina McCrea received public comment as board trustees for the last time. It was important for me to show support for these two amazing individuals who were sadly unseated in the recent election. I wanted to make sure I personally thanked them for their years of service and continued desire to fight for our community’s freedom of choice and for the honesty and integrity they displayed during the entire election despite being faced with evil lies and persistent insults.
