One person is dead and two others were injured in an early morning shooting Sunday near German Village, according to Columbus police. Police received a 911 call at 4:08 a.m. from someone saying a man was in the street yelling I have been shot. The person who died was pronounced dead at 4:23 a.m. The other two victims were taken to the hospital and were reported to be in stable condition. It s unknown if those individuals were also shot. Police didn t release the identities of the person who was killed or the other two victims. A police dispatcher said officers responded to an area near an Airbnb on Reinhard Avenue near German Village shortly after receiving the emergency call. ....
Updated: 8:10 AM EST December 18, 2020 One person died after being shot in south Columbus early Friday morning. Columbus police said they received a ShotSpotter alert about shots fired in the 1000 block of South 22nd Street near Reinhard Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Officers found a person shot on a sidewalk. That person was taken to Grant Medical Center and pronounced dead just after 5 a.m. Police have not released the identity of the person who died. Information about a possible suspect was not available, police said. ....
