NES to deliver system package for Rem Offshore’s newbuild CSV March 3, 2021, by Nadja Skopljak Norwegian Electric Systems (NES) has won a contract from Green Yard Kleven to deliver the energy design and smart control solution to Rem Offshore’s new construction service vessel (CSV). NES will supply the energy design and system solution with a battery pack for the vessel named Rem Energy, while the delivery also includes options to expand with a larger battery pack in the future. According to the company, the 10 MW battery pack permits running with zero emissions when operating at an offshore wind farm, and will be charged via a buoy once such infrastructure is in place.
