The first batch of 5000 doses landed in Hyderabad on 1st July, 2021 while the remaining doses are expected by 8th July. On this occasion, Mr Kihak Sung, Chairman – Youngone Corporation said, “We are all very sorry to hear of the troubled situation in India and Telangana. To stand behind the Government of Telangana in fighting against Covid-19 and to mitigate some of the sufferings of the people, Youngone hereby donates 10,000 vials of 'Remdesivir Injections' and 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand) pieces of KN95 face mask on an urgent basis. Accordingly, Youngone Management in Bangladesh will obtain necessary permissions from concerned departments of Bangladesh Government and organize procurement & shipment of the medicine to Telangana.”

SURAT: BJP legislator from Kamrej V D Zalavadiya has landed in yet another controversy after a video surfaced on Sunday showing him doubling up as a health worker at a Covid-19 care centre in Sarthana area which he is operating along with his supporters.
Zalavadiya faced a barrage of criticism over social media and political circles after a video went viral on Sunday showing him filling a syringe with remdesivir injection before transferring it to a drip bottle, to be administered to a Covid-19 patient. Zalavadiya did it allegedly on May 17 in presence of a nurse and doctor, who are heard commenting and laughing in the video.

Efforts on to arrest another accused
A 20-year-old student was arrested for allegedly cheating a man of ₹36,000 on the pretext of providing him Remdesivir injection required for treatment of COVID-19 patients, the police said on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) S.K. Meena said that the accused has been identified as Sagar Chaurasia, resident of West Patel Nagar and is a BCom final-year student.
Money transfer
The police said that they received a complaint from a Dabri resident stating that he was in need of Remdesivir injection for a relative and got in touch with Ajay through social media. The accused promised to deliver the said drug for ₹36,000 and was asked to transfer ₹18,000 in his bank account as advance and then another ₹18,000. After the money was transferred, the phone was switched off.
