School resource officer. The officer went to the threat as trained and the responding deputies and Police Officers also activated our regional active protocol. That is to go to the threat and try to eliminate the threat while keeping students and staff safe. Within 20 minutes of the time of the report of the shooting our deputies found the suspect dead inside the school. Currently right now it appears to us that shooter is dead as a result of a selfinflicted gunshot wound.
