The rest of his all civilian crew and that should happen momentarily. i m here with kristin fisher since early this morning watching the preparations and the remarkable launch and successful it is incredible to see that split screen shot of the rocket booster which had returned to earth, landed vertically which is a huge accomplishment and the capsule had also safely returned to earth, both reusable and both symbols of this new age of space. a fully reusable rocket system. this one of course only suborbital. spacex doing the orbital ones. but i mean, what i just keep thi thinking about the fact this had never been done a few year ago and now blue origin able to do this over and over again, 15 times consecutively. it is just an incredible accomplishment. and then you also think about the capsule and the redundancy ....

Besides democratizing space travel? it s the tang and space food sticks and teflon argument. if we go to space, we re going to have better ways to cook or whatever. you re not going to see a lot of that with this, frankly. what we re doing is taking technology in some respects is pretty tried and true here, and applying it in a way that makes it more cost effective, repeatable, reusable and, thus, ultimately more affordable. imagine if every time you flew an airliner you had to throw it away. that s what we were doing with the space shuttle which was supposed to be reusable. big parts were thrown away. it was very expensive. elon musk has proven that mon musk can be taken to a higher level. something like this gets you to the cusp of space. you re not going to take this ....

Singapore scientists develop reusable mask able to filter 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and haze

SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): Scientists from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have developed a reusable mask that is able to kill bacteria droplets within 45 seconds and filter 99.9 per cent of bacteria, viruses and haze particles - better than the medical-grade N95 masks used in hospitals.
N95 masks are able to prevent around 95 per cent of aerosolised droplets and particulate matter of around 0.3 microns in size from entering them.
The filter of the NTU-developed mask is coated with a layer of copper oxide nanoparticles, which damage the DNA of important cell structures in the bacteria, causing them to die, said Professor Lam Yeng Ming, chair of NTU s School of Materials Science and Engineering, who developed the antimicrobial coating. ....
