Months after allegations were leveled against local revenue police in the Ankita Bhandari murder case involving a BJP leader s son, the Uttarakhand government on Tuesday abolished the revenue policing system in the state. As the investigation into the Ankita Bhandari murder case intensified with new revelations, P Renuka, in charge of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Thursday said that all the officers and employees of Revenue Police in Pauri district of Uttarakhand are being questioned in the ongoing case.
The police on Friday arrested three people including Pulkit Arya, the son of former BJP minister Vinod Arya in connection to the murder of 19-year-old receptionist Ankita Bhandari
In the case, three people have been arrested, including Pulkit Arya, the son of former Uttarakhand minister Vinod Arya. Renu Bisht, MLA of Yamkeshwar, and SDM Yamkeshwar Laxman have arrived at the Jhula police station. The investigation will be completed soon.
