I’m usually an eternal optimist but I will be glad to see the back of 2023. To use the vernacular of a reality TV show contestant, it has been an emotional rollercoaster of a year, with some lovely highs but some really bad lows as well.
It’s fair to say that the last 12 months have been as stable as a bouncy castle floating down the Lagan. One thing we could all rely on, though, was an array of wonderful pubs to help us through the ups, downs and many wobbles of 2023. So, without further ado, here’s 10 of the best the year had to offer.
New Year’s resolutions are a nightmare for overthinkers. I like to think resolutions in general are pretty awful the sudden U-turn made on January 1 after only the Bounty bars are left in a Celebrations tub to dramatically and permanently alter your life and deny yourself all the pleasure of the preceding two weeks.
