Global growth projected at 6 percent in 2021 IMF Report

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) through its World Economic Outlook (WEO) has projected the global growth for 2021 to 6 percent which will moderate to 4.4 percent in 2022.
According to the report, the prospects globally remain uncertain due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
“Global growth is projected at 6 percent in 2021, moderating to 4.4 percent in 2022. The projections for 2021 and 2022 are stronger than in the October 2020 WEO.
To fight to get a resilient economy, the fight goes beyond the ability to clamp down the virus through vaccines and other means but the fight should be extended to deploying effective economic policies that can yield positive results in these uncertain times.

Media reportage on Kasoa ritual murder unethical - Child Rights International

Child Rights International (CRI) has lashed out at the media over what it describes as unethical reportage on the teenagers that allegedly killed and buried a 10-year-old at Lamptey Mills in Kasoa of the Central Region.
According to CRI, the media exposure of the details and images of the teenagers is a violation of the Juvenile Justice Act which protects the rights of juvenile offenders.
The organisation insists that as a child-centred organisation, the reportage from the media is unethical and does not protect their privacy and dignity, the victim and the two suspects are teenagers and therefore must be protected and handled lawfully.
Woman murdered in a guest house at Somanya

It is emerging that there has been another murder incident recorded in the Eastern region at a guest house in Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality.
A young woman believed to be Believe Sakitey was found in a pool of blood at Janeli Guest House who checked into the guest house on Monday with a guy who gave his name as Charles Tetteh but failed to check out the following day when their time was due.
The receptionist decided to check on them since they were still not out and their time was due but upon arrival there a lifeless body of the lady soaked in blood was found in the room without the man who checked in with her.
