Much-loved Stroud and Stonehouse police officer dies aged 78
A much-loved Stroud police officer and Gloucester Crown Court security guard has died aged 78 following a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. John Merrett, from Brimscombe, passed away on May 12 at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, leaving behind him a legacy of work contributing to the Gloucestershire community.
