Engineers say it can take just 30 years for condominium buildings to reach a point when owners can no longer delay making critical repairs. In the Miami region, two out of every three condo buildings are more than 30 years old, according to data compiled by real-estate data firm Zillow for The Wall Street Journal. In at least seven other Florida cities, some three-quarters of condo buildings have hit that age. Many of the aging towers line the beachfront, where salt corrosion and other forces are speeding their decline. That is leaving thousands of buildings saddled with multimillion-dollar repair costs and little notion of how to pay for them. ....

It doesn t happen again. you know, rick, i know you ve seen these images obtained by the m miami heraldherald. does this help you lead to some of the factors that led to this failure? that compliments the opinions on the report. they showed the photographs and locations. even though the photographs on the heroald reported, that same damage is likely on the other side. all of this is telling you there is structural distress. the fact they reported they would replace the entirety portions of the slab, all of that is consistent with the photographs presented by the miami herald.. when you see the photos, what goes through your mind? so sad. the building is rather young. it was built in the 80s, 60s, ....
