Ridge Volunteer Fire Department released the following information.
“As of 8:30 pm tonight, all fire and rescue services have been placed into service. The boys, and the canoe, have still not been located. The US Coast Guard is performing low flights using FLIR to detect thermal signatures. It is recommended to not interfere with the Coast Guard’s search this evening. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources will resume the search at daybreak. They will be setting up a Command Post in the Ridge VFD parking lot. If you wish to volunteer for the search party tomorrow, please get in contact with the DNR Officers at the Command Post.”

Rescuers in Maryland are searching for missing brothers, aged 13 and 15, who were reported overdue from a canoe trip, authorities say.
A search resumed Tuesday morning in waters near St. Mary’s County, the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department said.

Jesse Oleg Clark, 13, and Josiah Vladimir Clark, 15, of Ridge, Maryland, were reportedly last seen about 9:45 p.m. Sunday at the 49000 block of Harry James Road in Ridge, near the Harry James Creek, the fire department and police said.

UPDATE 4/6/2021 @ 9:10 a.m. : The Maryland DNR and Ridge VFD “currently have way more volunteers than we can task. But, as the day progresses, we may lose some to fatigue or personal schedule. A rotation of volunteers would be helpful.”
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office advised no additional volunteers are necessary at this time in the search.
Please relay any information about this case to the Sheriff’s Office at 301-475-8008. All Ridge area residents can expect deputies and volunteers searching in the area.
The 15-year-old is approx. 5 ft. 7 in & weighs 135 lbs., brown hair with brown eyes.

FULTON COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - Work has begun on a new bridge connecting Sharp County to Fulton County, a bridge that many in the community believe is a lifesaver.
Crews have been out clearing some trees and preparing the area near the Humphrey’s Ford Bridge for its replacement. For James Tubbs and William Smith, volunteer firemen at the 9 Mile Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, it’s something they’ve been waiting on for years.

On Sunday, February 7, 2021, at approximately 1:50 p.m., firefighters from Ridge, Bay District, NAS Webster Field, and Valley Lee responded to the residence next to 18127 Trossbach Road in Dameron, for the reported garage on fire.
Crews arrived on the scene to find an approximately 30 x 30 garage with fire showing from the rear of the structure.
Firefighters worked aggressively and gained control of the fire within 10 minutes, with all units returning to service in approximately one hour.
The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal was requested to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
