Lawmakers from Belarus’ lower house of parliament adopted a statement on Tuesday in light of the recent incident involving the national flag displayed in Latvia, branding it as a violation of international law and continuation of Riga’s hostile policy towards Minsk, the BelTA news agency reports. Members of the Council of the Republic (upper house TASS) and the House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly (parliament TASS) were outraged by the reports of actions taken against the state flag of Belarus in Riga.
