A FLOOD investigation report has outlined the circumstances surrounding the serious flooding of dozens of homes and businesses in Prestolee in February. The aim of the investigation was to identify who was affected, to determine why the properties flooded, review responses during and after the event and recommend further action. Flooding at Riverside Drive, Prestolee and Smiths Road occurred on February 9 this year at around 1.30pm. The investigation, conducted by Bolton Council, said the havoc caused by Storm Ciara saw internal flooding of 25 properties and five businesses. At Riverside Drive the depth of the flooding was significant with around one metre depth inundating some homes. ....
