International Women's Day Celebration highlights accomplishments of Trojan women


In honor of International Women’s Day, President Carol Folt hosted a Herstory event Monday, opening up the celebration by sharing how the women in her own life have inspired her through their resilience, compassion and creativity. 
“We all have heroes and role models around us,” Folt said. “In my own life, I can think of my mother and her mother and all those who came before them, and I can think of my daughter and her daughter and all those who will come after them. And I think of my many colleagues and my students over the years, intelligent strong women working alongside me in labs and in administrative roles and as academic leaders.” ....

Why Is It so Hard for There to Be Zero Tolerance for Jew-Hatred on Campus?
Micha Danzig served in the Israeli Army and is a former police officer with the NYPD. He is currently an attorney and is very active with numerous Jewish and pro-Israel organizations, including Stand With Us, T.E.A.M. and the FIDF.
On March 7, 2015, members of the University of Oklahoma (OU) chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) were filmed on a bus performing a racist song that used the “N word” and enthusiastically referencing Jim Crow.
The video of the incident was reported by The Oklahoma Daily on March 8. That same day, the national office for SAE closed the OU Chapter house, and OU officials gave SAE members until the end of March 10 to move out. Soon after, OU Facilities Management removed the fraternity’s Greek letters, put a padlock on the facility’s gate, blocked off the SAE chapter house parking lot, and changed the locks on the building.
