Come the Monday, April 22 reorganizational meeting, the Ripon Area School District will have a different look.
The School Board voted to make that change Monday, when it approved the 2021-22 school calendar. Under the revised calendar, orientation would take place Aug. 30 and Aug. 31 instead of Sept. 1 and 2. There also would be two early release dates a month rather than the one-hour late starts each Wednesday. Ripon Superintendent Mary Whitrock noted staff and parents supported making the change in surveys, with parents being 70% for it.
