At the present time, the vaccine is only available for those over the age of 80 and some county health departments are only offering it to residents of that county. cblack@newsandsentinel.com PARKERSBURG — The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department is offering a limited number of COVID-19 vaccinations Sunday for people age 80 and older. Beginning Sunday at 1 p.m., Wood County residents in the targeted age group can get the vaccine at a drive-through clinic on a first-come, first-served basis. According to a release from the Health Department, only 50 doses have been received so far. CHARLESTON — Three more Mid-Ohio Valley residents have been added to the COVID-19 death toll. An 80-year-old Wood County man, a 97-year-old Ritchie County woman and a 97-year-old Jackson County woman were among 23 West Virginians whose COVID-related deaths were confirmed in Wednesday’s update from the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
