we're back now with more of "today" on a friday morning, 9th day of october 2009. just let's stop and take a grander at all the nice people who gathered in our plaza. huge crowd -- >> yes. >> -- despite some calls for rain today. >> holiday crowd. >> that's right. >> pre-columbus day crowd. >> right. >> not a bad group of people. and maybe some of these people here are preparing to get ambush makeovers. >> makeovers, yes, yes. >> that's right. that's going to happen later on. out on the plaza, i'm matt lauer with al roker and natalie morales. later this half hour, it's an open house....
