GM's Lansing Delta Township/Lansing Regional Stamping plant, which builds the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave and employs 2,500 people, will remain open. The Lansing Grand River plant is not the first GM facility to shut down due to the shortage; the San Luis Potosi Assembly plant in Mexico, which employs over 4,000 workers, has been down since Feb. 8.
