At its May 11 meeting, the Hays County Commissioners Court discussed changes to the 2016 Road Bond Program and approved upgrades for election voting equipment. As part of the 2016 Road Bond Program, the court authorized a time extension on the Professional Services Agreement between Hays County and BGE, Inc. in order to make needed RM 12 safety improvements near the intersection of Mountain Crest and Skyline Drive. Monday, February 22, 2021 The Hays County Commissioners Court will discuss a continuation of the local disaster declaration originally proclaimed by Judge Ruben Becerra on March 15, 2020 and has most recently been continued on Dec. 8. The commissioners will also discuss an amended agreement for COVID-19 vaccine administration between Hays County and Curative Medical Associates, Inc, for the administration of COVID-19 vaccines. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 Hays County is in the planning phase of creating a vaccine “hub” model alongside Seton Hospital and other local partners with the goal of becoming more efficient with COVID-19 vaccine distribution, according to Hays County Emergency Management Coordinator Alex Villalobos. By creating a larger group, Hays County expects to be able to advocate for larger numbers of the vaccine and to distribute them in a more centralized manner.
