Tributes to man found dead in van as police called to 'heartbreaking' scene The man was found in a van close to The Derby Pool Harvester Restaurant in New Brighton Updated Tributes have poured in for a man who was found dead in a van at New Brighton. Merseyside Police were called to Kings Parade in Wallasey on Wednesday, to reports of a concern for a man in a vehicle. Police and paramedics attended shortly before 3.40pm, and the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
