Rob Salinas a producer and reporter for local and statewide newscasts at News 88.7. He’s an Army veteran who served in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. After being honorably discharged, Rob returned to Oklahoma to attend college while working as a photographer and reporter. During this time, he helped cover the Oklahoma City bombing and the subsequent criminal trials. Rob moved to Houston in 1997 and worked in commercial news radio before leaving to become a teacher. He came back to news in 2023 to join Houston Public Media and The Texas Newsroom.
