(The Center Square) – An Ohio group joined the fight against a California proposition that it believes imposes illegal regulations on the pork industry across the country.
The Buckeye Institute filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in National Pork Producers Council v. Ross, urging the court to declare that California’s Proposition 12—which purports to regulate the pork industry within the Golden State, but in reality imposes its regulations nationwide—violates the U.S. Constitution’s Commerce Clause.
