The incoming Biden administration announced a plan Friday to make it a priority to distribute the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to everyone.

"If you fall into one of the categories in these phases, your employer or health care provider will contact you or communicate with you when and where to get your vaccine once the sector has been opened up," said Butte County Public Health Director, Danette York. "You should not contact public health or the hospitals directly to ask questions about when you can get a vaccine."
