The Daily Herald The Maury County Commission has chosen to take action against the owner of a Culleoka property that has remained in violation of the region s zoning ordinance for more than two years. The commission voted 18-3 in approval that legal action be taken by the local government during its meeting held last month. The county’s zoning department argues the property, located on Dodson Gap Road in rural Culleoka, is zoned A-2, or a rural residential district. However, the property is described by commissioners as a salvage yard, with numerous inoperable vehicles located on the property. “I have made efforts to remove cars from the property and shield things from view,” property owner Amos L. Riddle told the commissioners during the meeting. ....
