Ex-NFL player Phillip Adams, accused of killing six people before turning the gun on himself, suffered from severe brain disease, an autopsy shows.

CTE is linked to head trauma and concussions that has been shown to cause a range of symptoms, including violent mood swings and memory loss.
Boston University neuropathologists said Phillip Adams had chronic traumatic encephalopathy — a degenerative brain disease found in many former football players.
