Ex-Clarke Central teacher not guilty in sexual assault on student charge
A former math teacher at Clarke Central High School was acquitted Wednesday of sexual assault on a student during a jury trial in Athens-Clarke County Superior Court. Coalson and the student, now 18, each testified in the three-day trial presided over by Superior Court Judge Lisa Lott. Coalson, represented by Athens-Clarke County Assistant Public Defender Rachel Williams, lost her job and license to teach as a result of the investigation.
