Residents describe living in the shadows of Newport News Shipbuilding
North End Huntington Heights residents say the shipyard has brought traffic, noise, tense confrontations and a decreased quality of life. They also say shipyard employees have regularly littered the streets with trash and taken up parking spaces in front of their houses.
