The first leg of NASA CubeSat mission to the Moon has been successfully completed in space. It was built to test a novel lunar orbit.
NASA's CAPSTONE (Cislunar Autonomous Positioning System Technology Operations and Navigation Experiment) is all set to become the first spacecraft to fly a specific unique lunar orbit. The tiny CubeSat, which is approximately the size of a microwave oven, will serve as a pathfinder for other future missions to the moon with the crew. Rocket Lab took to Twitter to announce that it has delayed the launch of CAPSTONE by a single day and is now targeting June 28 for it.
