The Durban High Court has heard that the body of murdered UK-born botanist, Rachel Saunders, was badly mutilated after it was recovered from a crocodile-infested river.
It has been revealed that South African detectives in the case found pamphlets relating to the Islamic State terrorist group, along with an ISIS flag, at the defendant's home when they were arrested.
Respected botanists Rod, 74, and Rachel Saunders, 63, met a gruesome end after they were kidnapped, beaten to death and then put in their sleeping bags and thrown into a river infested with man-eaters.
