As the Briceño administration settles in, the appointment of new executives to various statutory bodies remains ongoing. Following the selection of a new board of directors for Belize Telemedia Limited two weeks ago, B.E.L. has also named a chairman and four directors for ordinary shares. Attorney Andrew Marshalleck has been appointed as the new presiding officer for the utility company, succeeding Senior Counsel Rodwell Williams. Other executives include Anwar Flores of the Big Creek Group, businessman Anil Hotchandani, Vice President of the Corozal Free Zone, Emilio Zabaneh and Amir Carillo. The board of directors of Belize Electricity Limited was previously comprised of twelve members, including five from the Government of Belize, three from the Social Security Board, three from Fortis Cayman and one by the board itself.
