ASHLAND MEMORIES: The Ashland Invincibles rolled to victory Sarah Kearns Special to the Ashland Times-Gazette A professional sports team called the Ashland Invincibles once played into a championship in the old armory on West Main Street. The Ohio State Polo League formed in 1907 and planned a winter schedule. Ashland was one of four cities with a team. The original league also included the Mansfield Phenoms, Coshocton Bull Dogs and Zanesville Tigers. In December, the league expanded to include Lancaster and Marion.
