Quinsippi Island Now Has a New Look One of the benefits of living on the Mississippi River is the wonderful view of the landscape including the river itself. Well, the view of that landscape has changed over the past weekend. In an effort to "open up" the view of the river even more, the southern tip of Quinsippi Island underwent a transformation Saturday when crews began cutting down trees in the area basically from the lighthouse to the southern edge of the island.
