Picture the scene. It’s coming close to sunset and you’re standing at the top of a cliff above the Atlantic Ocean swirling 200m below. You can see these churning waves, because you’re not standing on land. Instead, you are on a cantilevered walkway jutting out from the cliff face, and the toughened glass floor means you can look straight down. For many, this would be the thrill of a lifetime; for others, the quickest path to vertigo. One way or the other, it might be a reality in the not too distant future, even though controversy has dogged the project from the off.
