The YIP YOPS comprise frontman Ison Van Winkle and drummer Ross Murakami, who said they recorded the commercial in early March at a home in Los Angeles. It was directed by "Gummo" director Harmony Korine. They're depicted performing in a garage, listing off the items and singing the chorus, "if you want it you can get it at 7-Eleven."
