AN ICONIC pub in Pilton has recently reopened last after a much-anticipated make-over.
A LANDMARK pub in the home village of the Glastonbury Festival re-opened this month. The Crown, at Pilton, has been taken on by Owain Powell and Rowena Draper and is welcoming back drinkers. The Conduit Square venue has been closed for some time and the pair took it on at the start of July, aiming to create a new hub for the village. And this week, they have welcomed back villagers. “For the summer, we are having a festival-style beer garden,” said Owain, who runs the popular fish and chip van which serves Pilton and the surrounding communities each week.
