The bodies of two women swept off a road in floodwaters in a pickup truck in Mexico, Maine, this week have been recovered, police said Thursday.
Mexico Police identified the two victims as 20-year-old Ciara Cooper, whose body was found Thursday, and her 61-year-old grandmother, Gertrude Richard, who was found Wednesday. Both were from Mexico.
Authorities found Ciara Cooper around 100 yards from where the truck she was in vanished into high water. Gertrude Richardwas found on Wednesday.
Rescue personnel found the body of 20-year-old Ciara Cooper on Thursday, a day after they recovered the body of her grandmother, 61-year-old Judy Richards. The 2 are believed to have drowned after Richards' truck got swept up in flood waters while trying to cross a bridge Monday.
