UPDATE: Elizabeth Gunshot Victim Uncooperative with Police Investigation
Police officials in Elizabeth are continuing an investigation into a shooting that injured a male victim at a location in the city Sunday evening. According to Elizabeth City Spokeswoman Ruby Contreras, at approximately 7 p.m., a 20-year-old Elizabeth resident was shot in the stomach on Jefferson Avenue. Spokeswoman Contreras said the victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he is currently in stable condition but not cooperating with Elizabeth Police.
