Australia announces strict measures to limit vaping
Australia will ban single-use e-cigarettes, stop imports of non-prescription versions. The country's health minister also announced an increase in tobacco sales taxes of 5% per year over the next three years. In 2012, Australia became the first country to impose "neutral" cigarette packing, a policy that has since been copied by many countries. Australia has one of the lowest daily smoking rates in the world, but the number of young people under 25 who start smoking has increased in recent years.
