The Indian rupee is expected to decline further in Wednesday's trading session following the Chinese yuan's fall to a six-month low against the US dollar. Non-deliverable forwards predict the rupee will open lower than the previous session's close of ₹82.71.
The dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.49 per cent to 102.88.
