City Council To Talk Grants, Police Dogs at Wednesday Meeting
January 20, 2021 Sheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon City Council meets Wednesday afternoon they’ll hold a public hearing on the City’s USDA Rural Development Grant Application. The grant would be used to help offset the costs involved for the purchase of equipment for SCAT, Sheldon Police, Sheldon Fire and Sheldon EMA. The Council is also expected to talk about the acquisition and training of a dog for the Sheldon Police Department. Total costs involved should reach about $40-thousand dollars.
