Liberty librarian selected for rural library fellowship to help kids


Brenda Hornsby Heindl calls herself an accidental librarian who felt compelled to help the Liberty community. Heindl started at Liberty Public Library as a children s librarian in 2011 and 2012, left to pursue other ventures, then returned in 2018 when she was offered a position as program coordinator.

The connection she had with the community pushed her to tackle educational development as a leader. Heindl has a master s degree in museum work which is different from a library science degree that most librarians have. However, she thinks she brings a culmination of experiences that are a unique aspect of building the community. ....
